Heyya! Been kinda busy lately, couldn't find the time to update this blog.
Anyway.. my not-so-latest project, a music video using video mapping projection as the main concept.
Video music of one of the best Indonesian pop act, RAN. For their song, Mencuri Hati.
I did this video together with my best friend, a very talented director and motion designer, Sakti Marendra.
The process was really fun and we're pretty happy with the result.

Homogenic: Seringan Awan

My latest project, a music video of a very well-known, and one of my favorite Indonesian electronic acts, Homogenic.
For their song Seringan Awan from their latest album, Let A Thousand Flowers Bloom.
Actually I'm the last person joined at this project. The team asked me for a favor on the VFX parts.
So I did, and turned out I really love it!

Anne Avantie Fashion Show: Damai Negeriku

My runway visuals for Anne Avantie's fashion show, celebrating her 20 years of work.

Anne Avantie is one of Indonesia's leading fashion designer.
I don't know much about fashion, but I surely love her works.
And she's such a nice person too. Very inspiring.

My works, displayed on 12 x 4 meters projection screen.

Puteri Indonesia Pageant 2010

My latest project.

Visual set for Puteri Indonesia Pageant 2010 crowning night.
The theme was Under The Sea.
Displayed on 36 x 6 meters LED backdrop.

I made visual backdrop for the opening sequence.

And also visual for finalist walk, band performances, dance, etc.

Bottlesmoker: The Ostend #3 ID Bumper

The Ostend is an annual electronic music gig held by OpenLabs.
OpenLabs is an electronic music, visual and new media art community based in Bandung, Indonesia.
Me and Bottlesmoker, one of the best Indonesian electronic acts, are two of their artists.
I often did visual works for Bottlesmoker, VJ-ing for them as well.
I made this for their performances at The Ostend.
Bottlesmoker's 'Walls' intro as BGM.

Tiba-Tiba Hamil: Bite X Isha Hening

This video took part in Konfiden Short Film Festival 2009 opening program 'Lagu Gambar Gerak'
along with another 9 videos from another 9 video artists and another 9 musicians/bands.
I paired up with Indonesian pop rock band, Bite.
The program was initiated by Harlan Boer a.k.a Bin (ERK) and Ipoenk a.k.a Video Robber.

This video also took part in V International Women Film Festival 2010.

Tiba-tiba Hamil means pregnant suddenly. The idea for this video came from the song.
It is about a teenager who becomes pregnant, a common occurence for lots of young girls.
In such situations, it is always the girl who suffers the most.
In this video, I try to expose the issue by using another social situation that is common lately
— social network sites — where we don’t really need to know a person and their life.
We just look at their profile page,
and get a small or large insight of what is happening to that person.

Tersiksa Lagi: DTX vs Isha Hening - AV Bootleg

Friend of mine, DJ and producer, Arya Harditya a.k.a DTX,
made this super cool bootleg DNB remix of Indonesian old song, Tersiksa Lagi.
The original song by Rafika Duri, one of the best Indonesian pop and bossas singer,
was released in 1982.
I really liked it I made a visual to it.

P.S: 'Tersiksa Lagi' means 'tortured again'. Something eh?

I made this video for Tomorrow's Parties a tribute to The Velvet Underground art exhibition.
19-20 June 2010 at Museum of Mind, Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia.
I love the song, After Hours, so i picked this one.
This is my interpretation of the song, i tried to capture the mood of the song's title, After Hours.
I made a cover version of the song using my lame guitar skill and my awful voice :D

I looove making this kinda video.
It's kinda balancing my works.
Between fully digital/analog, commercial/non commercial, client based/myself based.
Yeah, i guess you know what i mean ;)
